Our association of innkeepers began over 30 years ago with the pioneering
travel guide, Country Inns and Back Roads, by Norman Simpson, "the
Father of Country Inn travel in America." Credited with single-handedly
founding an industry in America, Simpson brought together a select
group of innkeepers, primarily in New England, dedicated to principles
of hospitality, quality, romance and fine food. Today, the Association
includes inns, bed and breakfasts, and unique small hotels from Long Island
to Los Angeles, with properties in the Tri-State area including
states like New
York, New
Jersey, and Connecticut.
Select Registry doesn't rank its country inns, bed & breakfasts,
and unique accommodations with diamonds or stars, although many
of our members carry the high ratings you'd expect from various
groups that evaluate inns and Bed & Breakfasts. If you're a
member of Select Registry, you're the cream of the crop. All of
our B&Bs are "the best"-and our inspections prove
